Your personal health history along with your family medical and cancer history should be taken into consideration to determine when to begin screening for colorectal cancer. Screening does not always begin at 45 or 50 years of age. If you have symptoms or a family history, talk to your doctor as you may need screening at a much earlier age.

The Colorectal Cancer Prevention Network (CCPN) at the University of South Carolina is a statewide program that provides education, awareness and colorectal cancer screening options for uninsured low-income individuals. Learn more at http://www.crcfacts.com.
