Sarcoma एक प्रकार का कैंसर ही होता है जब कोई tumor, body के supporting structures जैसे bones, cartilage, ligament से शुरू होता है तो उसे sarcoma कहते हैं| India में इसके common subtypes हैं – Ewing sarcoma and synovial sarcoma. Sarcoma ज्यादातर छोटे बच्चों में पाया जाता है| India में sarcoma

Sarcoma is a type of cancer. When a tumor starts from the supporting structures of the body like bones, cartilage, ligament, then it is called sarcoma. In India, its common subtypes are – Ewing sarcoma and Synovial sarcoma. In India, sarcoma is generally seen 3.6 – 14.8% in young boys and 3.7 – 9.5% in young girls. Sarcoma Awareness Month is celebrated every year in July. This is to raise awareness of sarcoma for its early diagnosis and treatment. Sarcoma has three stages – Benign, Malignant, and Metastatic. If sarcomas are diagnosed in an early stage, then their treatment is possible to a great extent. If symptoms of sarcoma are seen, get a medical examination done immediately.
