Dr. Nick demonstrates how skin cancer can occur in your foot and in this example the patient has a melanoma between the toes. This needed to be excised to prevent any further spreading of the melanoma to cancer elsewhere. If found and caught soon it can be easily cut out and cured.

Aimee Garrison was 26 weeks pregnant when the pain became overwhelming. She had trouble sleeping and keeping up with her toddler. An MRI revealed a rare spinal cord ependymoma, which affects less than 2,000 adults each year. Valarie’s life flipped in an instant after she was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. At first, she became overwhelmed with fear but she slowly turned that fear into learning more about her disease. She explains how she processed her diagnosis, the treatment she underwent and the fears and challenges of going through a stem cell transplant.

But just as she was recovering from her multiple myeloma treatments and trying to get back to a “normal life,” she learned about a second cancer diagnosis.
