What is . . . Ewing Sarcoma
Ewing Sarcoma is the second most common solid tumor of the bone, most often occurring in the pelvis or legs. Nearly half of the cases occur between the ages of 10 and 20. The cancer can spread to other parts of the body through tissue, blood, or the lymph system. Though considered treatable at any stage with four different types of therapy, doctors are working to understand why the cancer may occur and how to treat it. There are no current standards of care for recurrent (or relapsed) Ewing Sarcoma.
