University of Chicago Cancer Center - Regional Session 2021 was held after the General Session of the Appendix Cancer Survivorship Symposium 2021 on October 15, 2021 virtually via Zoom and was free and open to all.

Appendix cancer management strategies:
Dr. Eng is a double board-certified surgical oncologist who focuses on the treatment of cancers in the abdomen, and in particular, cancers that have spread to the peritoneum. He specializes in CRS/HIPEC, treats a variety of abdominal cancers and is skilled at minimally invasive approaches.
Managing cancer and leveraging your team:
Emily Fenton has practiced as a Physician Assistant for 6 years and has been with the Regional Therapies Program at University of Chicago for over 3 years, furthering the oncology field through research, public speaking, precepting, and participating in task forces aimed at improving patient care and access to care.
Identifying the right educational resources:
Jen Belanksi is a Nurse Associate for the University of Chicago Regional Therapies Program since 2019. Has nine years of experience as a Registered Nurse in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Supports patients at the University of Chicago throughout their oncology journey by providing education and assistance navigating their care plan.

Preparations That You Didn’t Know You Have to Do:
• Jeffrey Whitridge is the clinical dietitian in the Regional Therapies surgical oncology section at the University of Chicago Medical Center. Mr. Whitridge has over 26 years of clinical experience in the field of nutrition and dietetics and over sixteen years in the field of oncology nutrition with a specific focus on prevention, treatment and survivorship.
• Sarah Macaraeg - is a board-certified physical therapist in orthopedics and pelvic health. She practices in an outpatient setting treating patients for a variety of musculoskeletal injuries, pelvic health dysfunction, and rehabilitation related to oncology care.
• Sandy Clark – is the Patient Care Coordinator for The Regional Therapies Program, coordinating care for Dr. Turaga and Dr. Eng's surgical oncology patients. She will be discussing the importance of Advance Care Directives.)
