While anal cancer is rare, it is preventable. Syed Husain, MBBS, explains why screenings are especially important for high-risk populations including patients with HIV, LGBTQIA+ individuals and women with a history of previous HPV (human papilloma virus) infections. Screening is important and is available through a new clinic at The Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute.
