What is it like to get cancer as a young adult? I've done it twice, so I'm quickly becoming an expert.

My name is Mike Linn, and I'm a stage 4 melanoma patient who makes cancer vlogs. Today I talk about the effects of getting cancer as a young adult.

Three things that can affect young adults with cancer include:
1. Life goals disruption
2. FOMO (Fear of Missing Out)
3. Lack of peer empathy.

This is a topic that can be applied to non-cancer patients as well.

Major illnesses, significant trauma, or prolonged periods of stress can all mimic each other in how they affect our well-being. My goal is for these stage 4 cancer vlogs to have as much application as possible to the people who watch them, so my hope is that anyone going through a tough time can glean something today.

As always, if you like this video and subscribe to my channel, I'd greatly appreciate it. This allows me to grow the conversation and reach more people who can this human experience I'm having.
