Spindle cell thymoma patient celebrates the end of proton therapy treatment

Not long after giving birth to her son, Lauren Marmaduke was referred to MD Anderson for treatment of advanced spindle cell thymoma. She received three rounds of chemotherapy and then began proton therapy treatment.

MD Anderson has a long-standing tradition in which patients ring a gong or bell to signify the end of treatment. We celebrate Lauren now and look forward to making this a reality for many other patients.
