My Ileostomy Reversal Experience
The ileostomy reversal surgery is a highly anticipated part of a rectal cancer patient's journey. It's exciting to get rid of the bag, but wondering how your body is going to be after the reversal can be a little scary. Follow me as I talk about the tests your body has to pass to be eligible for a reversal, how the surgery itself and the hospital recovery are, and most importantly, how long it took me before my butt no longer felt like it was on fire. I'm talking about an ileostomy reversal here, so be prepared for lots of poop talk!
