When Gail Dykstra was diagnosed with muscle invasive bladder cancer in 2017, she was ineligible for any of the standard forms of treatment: no surgery, no chemotherapy, no radiation. Fortunately, she found an immunotherapy treatment option at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, which she attributes to her overcoming the disease.

Gail now dedicates her time to bladder cancer advocacy and empowering others to learn more about the often overlooked disease.
