CERVICAL CANCER
Cervical cancer it is a type of cancer that arises from the cervix , which is a part of the female reproductive system that connects the vagina to the uterus.
Causes of cervical cancer.
-Human papillomavirus infection.
Types of cervical cancer.
1. squamous cell carcinoma.
2. cervical adenocarcinoma.
Signs and symptoms of cervical cancer include the following.
1.Abnormal vaginal bleeding especially after sexual intercourse.
2. Vaginal discomfort.
3.Vaginal discharge with unpleasant smell.
4.Pain when urinating.
Treatment options of cervical cancer .
1.Surgery.
2.Radiation therapy.
3.Chemotherapy.
-The patient may receive one or a combination of the above treatment depending on the stage of the cancer.
