Because It Matters: A Patient's Journey With Kidney Cancer
Kidney cancer is the 14th most common cancer in both men and women, globally. In terms of epidemiology, kidney cancer is relatively uncommon in Asia compared with the West. Furthermore, kidney cancer does not always get the same level of public awareness as more prevalent diseases such as breast cancer or prostate cancer, which can make patients feel even more isolated in their condition.
Mr Kee, survivor of Stage 4 Kidney Cancer, shares his story: from the surprising diagnosis, to the arduous treatment journey, and the things that keep him going through it all. With Dr Tay Miah Hiang, Consultant Medical Oncologist, they explored and optimised treatment options for Mr Kee - and now he celebrates being cancer-free, 6 years from the date of diagnosis.
