When a throat mass is discovered during the evaluation of throat complaints of soreness, trouble swallowing, globus, and/or a hoarse voice, a biopsy to evaluate for cancer is inevitably performed after appropriate testing. So, how is a throat biopsy performed? A throat biopsy requires general anesthesia to prevent any gagging and to safeguard the airway. After intubation, a mouthguard is placed to protect the upper teeth from chipping or cracking. A special instrument called a direct laryngoscope is then used to visualize the throat mass. Through this instrument, a cup forcep is inserted down to where the mass is located and a tissue specimen is obtained. The specimen is then sent to pathology where it will be processed to evaluate under the microscope and provide a definitive diagnosis of the mass.
While the patient is sedated, it is common to also check the esophagus for any masses as well. Once the sedated exam has been completed and all biopsies obtained of any abnormal masses, the mouthguard is removed and the patient allowed to awaken and extubated. Biopsy results are typically obtained within a week, but sometimes can take longer if special stains are required.

Ebony was 45 when she first noticed blood in her urine. But after different scans and scopes, doctors couldn't find anything. They initially thought it was a UTI. After more than year, she was diagnosed with stage N2 bladder cancer.
She then underwent MVAC chemotherapy and an 8-hour surgery to remove her bladder. As part of this surgery, part of Ebony's small intestines were used to create a neobladder.
In this conversation she shares her cancer journey, including taking control of her hair loss, the importance of self-advocacy and support and using her story to be a light for others.

India is going to be the cancer capital of the world because of the radiation of the mobile towers.
The approved radiation exposure limit of mobile towers antenna is 9.2 watts per meter square. According to 25000 reports from the Indian government and WHO, no health problem has arrived due to the tower radiation.
But on analyzing the cancer cases which were diagnosed in the last few years, it was found that all those patient has been living near dense mobile tower antennas.
Scientist professor Girish Kumar (IIT Bombay) proved that the area around 50 meters of the tower is an extremely high radiation zone, and 50-300 meters of the area comes under a high radiation zone. the radiated microwave energy coming out of these towers vibrates your body's liquid molecules with a frequency of 900 million times per second and creates friction between them. The friction causes damage to your DNA, and as a result of which, human cells start to mutate to form cancer.
We are bound to live under the impact of tower radiation for almost 24 hours of the day, which is causing some microbiology effects in our bodies and cancer in some of us.
