Victoria Derbyshire has been keeping a video diary following her treatment for breast cancer. She had a mastectomy on the 24th September and wanted to record her thoughts after surgery to try to help de-mystify some of the treatment for breast cancer.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK - 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with it. Everyone's experience of a cancer diagnosis is different - for Victoria her approach - and progress so far - has been really positive and pragmatic.
She's being treated at Ashford & St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Surrey.
We consulted both Breast Cancer Care and MacMillan about the video.
