In this first part, he describes his first symptoms, the process and timeline of learning his cancer diagnosis including getting through bone marrow biopsies, managing through “scanxiety” or the wait for results, and processing the final diagnosis of multiple myeloma.

Multiple Myeloma is a disease of the elderly (70-year-old male is the typical patient)...The most common symptom is bone pain. It also has hypercalcemia, normocytic normochromic anemia, as well as renal failure.
