In this video, Dr Nilesh Chordiya (a Gynaecologic oncologist, with experience of over 10 years in the cancer surgery domain) will share with us information about the Causes of Endometrial Cancer.

As we can see today, the number of endometrial cancer cases has been rapid. Let us understand the reason for endometrial cancer. Endometrial cancer is hormone-dependent cancer and Estrogen hormone plays an important role in it. The increased estrogen hormone level can lead to endometrial cancer .

Estrogen Hormone is also responsible for
-Breast cancer
-Ovary cancer

Risk Factors of Endometrial Cancer include:
- High level of estrogen
- Infertility
-Repeated Abortions
-Pregnancy after 30
- Periods starting before 30 or periods even after 55-60
- Patient suffering from endometriosis or ovarian tumour
- Use of estrogen control pills after menopause
- Genetics (lynch syndrome)
- Obesity and diabetes

Along with these, there are also dietary factors etc which might lead to increased estrogen levels. Whoever has these risk factors they should regularly check with the doctor as early detection can cure cancer completely.
