When it comes to managing a rare cancer such as Lung Neuroendocrine Tumor, taking the right foods and supplements as part of the diet matters. Heavy meals, fatty foods, amine rich foods and alcoholic beverages should be avoided by neuroendocrine tumor patients with carcinoid syndromes. While Bittermelon and Blackberry are recommended to be included as part of the diet when undergoing treatment with standard therapies such as Eribulin/Trabectedin for Lung Neuroendocrine Tumor, Lard and Tallow should be avoided from the diet. Hence, following a personalized nutrition/diet plan customized for the specific cancer type and treatment is essential to stay safe, reduce symptoms and obtain maximum nutritional benefits while undergoing treatment for any cancer including Lung Neuroendocrine Tumor.
