Wilms' tumor
Wilms' tumor is a rare kidney cancer that primarily affects children. Also known as nephroblastoma, it's the most common cancer of the kidneys in children. Wilms' tumor most often affects children ages 3 to 4 and becomes much less common after age 5.Wilms' tumor most often occurs in just one kidney, though it can sometimes be found in both kidneys at the same time.

Symptoms

An abdominal mass you can feel, Abdominal swelling, Abdominal pain

Other signs and symptoms may include:

Fever, Blood in the urine, Nausea or vomiting or both, Constipation, Loss of appetite, Shortness of breath, High blood pressure

Risk factors
African-American race, Family history of Wilms' tumor , Aniridia, Hemihypertrophy, WAGR syndrome, Denys-Drash syndrome, Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome
Prevention
If your child has risk factors for Wilms' tumor (such as known associated syndromes), the doctor may recommend periodic kidney ultrasounds to look for kidney abnormalities. Although this screening can't prevent Wilms' tumor, it may help detect the disease at an early stage.

A cute baby has said 'mama' for the first time after surgery to cure a condition that left his tongue so big he couldn't talk and even struggled to breathe.

Rory Godfrey, from Wauwatosa in Wisconsin, USA, struggled to mouth words and would stop breathing 89 times a night due to his oversized tongue.

It was caused by the condition Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome that affects one in 11,000 children worldwide.
