Young patient with advanced thyroid cancer makes a full recovery
28-year-old Maneesha Gaur was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer at a local hospital in Thane, after she noticed a lump in her neck. She subsequently went to Tata Memorial Centre for further assessment. There she was referred to Dr. Anil D’Cruz, Director, Oncology Services and Head & Neck Cancer Specialist at Apollo Hospitals, Navi Mumbai.
Dr. D’Cruz made the necessary evaluations and assured the patient of a full recovery. The surgery was scheduled soon and lasted over 8 hours since the cancer had spread to the patient’s lymph nodes. Maneesha made a full recovery soon after and thanked Dr. D’Cruz and Dr. Khuzema Fatehi, Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for giving her a new lease of life.
