Women cancer patients get free wigs in Bengaluru
Bengaluru, March 07 (ANI): In a bid to mark International Women's Day, a hair clinic in Bengaluru along with a hospital donated high quality wigs to women cancer patients on Saturday. International Women's Day is celebrated on March 08 every year. The organisers said that chronic illnesses could take down even the strongest of human spirits โ cancer was one such disease. It is an ailment that crushes not only the body and mind, but the soul and spirit as well. The hair clinic provided high-quality wigs to a cancer institute for distribution among their female patients as one of the fallouts of chemotherapy in cancer treatment is the loss of hair. For women, this often means a loss of self-esteem as well. These wigs would make a small difference to the quality of life of women undergoing the plight and would boost their morale especially during trying times.
