Our mission is to spread awareness on these rare diseases.

This is a short treatment outcome awareness video of a limb salvage surgery for bone cancer(sarcoma) by Dr Srimanth B S.

Ewing's sarcoma is an aggressive bone cancer. It is known to affect the pelvis, scapula and the spine in addition to limbs.
Ewing's sarcoma belong to PNET/EFT entity and are known to be aggressive and fatal if untreated. This case scenario is of a young girl who was suffering from sarcoma involvement of shoulder blade bone (scapula).
Our team performed limb salvage surgery with total scapulectomy, and later reconstructed with biological method (ECRT-Radiation & Reimplantation) preserving the shoulder joint and function. This was possible due to good response to pre operative chemotherapy and adequate imaging by MRI and PET CT scans.
