(cutaneous lymphoma)

A cancer that starts in lymphocytes (T-cells, B-cells), that develop in the skin and are not affecting other organs or tissues at the time they are diagnosed. It is a non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
It is not a type of skin cancer where it develops from skin cells.

(Types)
- T-cell skin lymphoma (Cutaneous T-cell lymphoma): Most common (about 70%). Often looks red and dry like an eczema rash and can affect widespread parts of the body.
- - mycosis fungoides
- - Sรฉzary syndrome
- B-cell skin lymphoma (Cutaneous B-cell lymphoma): Tend to cause lumps in the skin, usually in one or two areas of the body.
- - primary cutaneous follicle center lymphoma (low-grade or slow-growing)
- - primary cutaneous marginal zone lymphoma (low-grade or slow-growing)
- - primary cutaneous diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, leg-type (high-grade or fast-growing)

Most affected group is male between 50 and 74.
It is not inherited and not transmissible.
