At age 62, Rosalind was diagnosed with endometrial cancer, which currently accounts for 90% of uterine cancer diagnoses. Rosalind noticed the changes in her body after she began experiencing unusual bleeding. Her doctor explained to her that because her cancer was found at an earlier stage, her chances of survival were good as compared to someone who has been diagnosed at a later stage of the disease. Years later, Rosalind is reflecting on her survival story. As someone who didn’t have a strong support system, she is empowered to support others who are living with cancer. She is now a passionate advocate of the endometrial cancer community. Her cancer diagnosis gave her a deeper meaning to life, and she is thankful for every single day she gets to live. In order to help raise awareness of endometrial cancer, she shared her personal experiences as an endometrial cancer survivor and patient advocate.
