Non Small Cell Lung Cancer Risk Factor | Risk Factor of NSCSL | What Increases Your Risk
Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related mortality worldwide as well as in the United States, with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) being the most frequent type.
A number of things will increase your risk of developing lung cancer. Smoking cigarettes or being exposed to secondhand smoke could be a primary risk factor for the sickness. Exposure to amphibole and bound paints or chemicals may also increase your risk.

RISK FACTORS OF LUNG CANCER
Smoking, Asbestos, Radiation, Arsenic Chromium, Nickel.
Genetics, Scar Formation (Wegeners, Fibrosis, Scleroderma)
Air pollution, HIV.
CLINICAL SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF LUNG CANCER
Pulmonary Symptoms, most common is cough, Hemoptysis (which ca lead to asphyxia) Chest Pain (dull achy), Dyspnea (secondary to pneumonia, atelectasis, lymphatic tumor spread, pleural effusion and pneumothorax), hoarsenes (when laryngeal nerve involved), pleural effusion (serous, serosangiounous, bloody) which may be caused by metastasis into pleural fluid. Super Vena Cava Syndrome occurs when central tumor invades SVC which causes red, edematous face, prominent veins throughout the body and this is more common in small cell lung cancer. Pancoast tumor is a lung cancer located in the apex of the lungs. Pancoast tumor may lead to thoracic outlet syndrome (pain weakness in arm and hand). Horner Syndrome causes miosis, anhydrosis and ptosis (MAP) and this is more common in Non Small Cell Lung Cancer.
You may not notice symptoms within the early stages. Otherwise you would possibly mistake them for another ill health, like respiratory disease or a folded lung. Non-small cell lung cancer is currently the single biggest killer from cancer of any disease in the world. It's called non-small cell lung cancer to distinguish it from another rarer type of lung cancer called small cell, which behaves very differently and is treated very differently.
