Many of the same factors that should cause women to pay close attention to their breast cancer risk can also affect men, including a family history of the disease in females and the presence of the BRCA gene mutation.
Men should also pay attention to possible breast cancer symptoms and see their doctors promptly if any arise.
"Symptoms can include a mass or changes in the skin of the nipple," Doreen Agnese, MD, says.
