An initial evaluation at the Cincinnati Center for Eosinophilic Disorders (CCED) at Cincinnati Children's takes about four days, depending on the needs and medical history of the patient. Our office will facilitate gathering medical history and information, determine the needed specialists for the patient's care and schedule the evaluations. Management of the condition and patient occurs through the center and is achieved through collaboration of the center's gastroenterologists, allergists, psychologist, nutritionists and clinical support staff. A detailed assessment is provided, including recommendations for disease management and treatment. The care team will also provide advice on quality-of-life issues, strategies for dealing with school and social events and educational materials that families can use with school or caregivers.
