Infection or Obstruction? Urgent Care Needs After Bial Duct Cancer Treatment
Patients with cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer) are at risk for serious complications. Because cholangiocarcinoma is rare, community doctors outside of a patient's specialized treatment team may not be familiar with the management of these complications. For this reason, Roswell Park Cancer Institute has partnered with the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation on the "Show Us Your Card" initiative, allowing patients to create and print a medical information card that provides medical personnel with information on how to contact their doctor(s), should it be necessary, and directs them to specific guidelines for their treatment.
