Lymphatic self-massage is a gentle, rhythmical massage that is designed to aid your lymphatic system. It can help you manage your lymphedema (swelling) by moving fluid from the swollen area into an area where the lymphatic system is working normally.

This step by step, instructional video was created for patients who were taught lymphatic self-massage at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre Lymphedema Clinic as a guide to use at home. Pam Hammond, one of the massage therapists at the Princess Margaret Lymphedema Clinic, demonstrates the entire sequence of self-massage for the upper body. Each massage stroke and hand position is described in detail and includes follow along instructions. We hope this instructional video helps you to manage your lymphedema more effectively by increasing your confidence in performing self-massage.
