The hepatitis C virus is one of the leading causes of liver disease and liver cancer.

Baby boomers are at high risk for hepatitis C infection. Approximately 75% of people with hepatitis C were born between 1945 and 1965.

The only way to know if you have hepatitis C is to get tested. If you were born between 1945 and 1965, talk to your doctor about getting screened for hepatitis C. It’s a simple blood test.
