GERS or gastroesophageal reflux disease, in common layman terminology we call it as reflux disease or heartburn. This is because the sphincter which prevents the food back from stomach to lower esophagus will be very lax/very weak. So that is why when the patient takes food after 2-3 hours the acid content regurgitate back into the lower esophagus. That is why the patient will get a burning sensation in the center part of the chest. This is called the GERD. Stomach cancer usually the symptoms will be ulcers in the stomach, where the patient can get different symptoms like abdominal pain, vomiting including the reflux disease. The early warning symptoms of stomach cancer will be the reflux heartburn, weight loss, vomiting and tiredness sometimes very tired because of blood passing in the stools or blood through the vomiting. So these are the early warning symptoms of stomach cancer.
