Enhancing diagnosis of adrenocortical carcinomas

Massimo Terzolo, MD, University of Turin, Turin, Italy, provides an overview of current diagnostic strategies for patients with adrenocortical carcinomas. Approximately a quarter of tumors are discovered serendipitously, and biopsies or surgery performed before diagnostic workup may be dangerous for the patients. Collaboration with endocrinologists is additionally important for successful outcomes. This interview took place at the ESMO Sarcoma and Rare Cancers Congress 2023 in Lugano, Switzerland.
