One of the major myth she spoke about was that all cancer pains are untreatable, upon which she commented how research breaks this myth suggesting that almost 95% of cancer pain can be treatable with the right drug and dosage.
Dr. Swati also broke a major myth that said along the lines that the more you bear the cancer pain the stronger you are. She normalized feeling cancer pain during the process of cancer treatment and also suggested that taking drugs to treat cancer pain does not make the patient any weaker in terms of mental strength, She suggested ways like early treatment as a prevention measure to avoid cancer pain turning into a chronic disease.
