Cancer steals everything from kids, their health, their childhood, their lives. Landrie is not immune to the deprivations of her disease, since 2018 she’s been fighting relentlessly. Landrie’s story is one of countless pokes and poisons meant to cure, sepsis and SEVERE Graft vs. Host Disease. Landrie has faced down indomitable MONSTERS and WON! Yet the big picture becomes small when this precious little girl looks in the mirror and feels ugly. Landrie’s battle scars are permanent but so is the love from her incredible family. I've been Landrie’s wingman throughout her battle and I don't plan on stopping. I see my sister suffering and I want to show that, no matter your outward appearance, what’s in the heart matters most. I'm challenging YOU to step up and do the same! If I can raise $10,000 I'm shaving my head, if I can raise $20,000 my mom’s hair is going too! Help us walk Miss Landrie into first grade with our beautiful, bald heads held high!
Here is a summary of some of the things my sister has fought through: Diagnosis 11/9/2018 Admit 2/7/19 Transplant 2/13/19 Discharged 3/27 Admit 5/4 for severe GVHD and BK virus- started photophoresis Discharged 5/30 Home 7/13 after leaving our house 2/13. We lived at RMH Dallas Admitted 10/10 for sepsis Discharged home 10/25 Admitted 11/23 for hemolytic anemia and sepsis. We almost lost her Discharged on her birthday 12/9 Admitted 12/28 for sepsis Discharged 1/13 Admitted 2/5 sepsis again Discharged 2/15 Admitted 3/10 for sepsis rhino and 2 other viruses Discharged 3/19 Haven’t been admitted since then!!! Countless pokes, countless procedures and 20 rounds of photophoresis
