Chemoradiation remains best treatment for locally advanced cervical cancer
Prof Gupta talks with ecancer at the ESMO 2017 Congress about a randomised controlled trial looking at neoadjuvant chemotherapy followed by surgery versus concurrent cisplatin and radiation therapy in patients with stage IB2 to IIB squamous carcinoma of cervix.
He goes on to discuss the results of the trial and explains that chemoradiation remains the best choice treatment for locally advanced cervical cancer.
