Blood donors gave 62 more days of smiles, giggles, and laughter with Caylee to her family. Caylee was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia at 4 years old. Her mom Jill has made it her mission to raise funds towards cancer research and has so far raised over $7 million,

ABOUT US

Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center (MVRBC) is the exclusive provider of blood products and services to 94 hospitals in Illinois, Iowa, Missouri and Wisconsin. The Blood Center is based in Davenport, Iowa, where MVRBC’s testing, processing and primary distribution center handles more than 250,000 units of blood components each year. MVRBC is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
 
Established in 1971 and based in Springfield, Illinois, Central Illinois Community Blood Center (CICBC), a not-for-profit organization, merged with MVRBC in 2010. CICBC continues to serve the central Illinois community.
 
Community Blood Services of Illinois (CBSI) was organized in 1972 to supply life-saving blood needed by critically ill and injured people. In 2011, CBSI merged with MVRBC. CBSI now forms the Eastern Division of MVRBC and continues to supply all voluntarily donated blood used by patients at the community hospitals in Champaign-Urbana, Charleston-Mattoon, Danville and Effingham, Illinois.
