The Hirshberg Foundation was first introduced to Dr. Noah Federman in 2019 at the 3rd Annual UCLA Cannabis Research Symposium. After hearing his lecture on “Cannabis Use in Oncology” it was clear our pancreatic cancer community would benefit & appreciate hearing him speak as well. In addition to Dr. Federman’s position as Director of the Pediatric Bone and Soft Tissue Sarcoma Program at UCLA, he is a faculty member of the UCLA Cannabis Research Initiative, one of the first academic programs in the world dedicated to the study of cannabis. Their mission is to advance scientific understanding of the impacts of cannabis and hemp on body, brain, mind, and society. In Dr. Federman’s clinical oncology practice he uses cannabis and cannabinoid compounds as adjunctive therapies and has a keen interest in how they can help patients.
