Cancer of the colon and rectum have a tendency to spread to the lung and liver. There are treatments available for such kinds of cases. These cases are initially analyzed by PET/ CT scan to see the progression.
If the disease is isolated to the liver or lung, then it is possible to give a curative treatment (Resection of liver/ lung). These surgeries can be open surgeries or can also be laparoscopic.
