Did you know that when a woman has a mastectomy she has four options: 1. Reconstruction (Paid for by Medicare), 2. Off-the-shelf prosthesis (Paid for by Medicare), 3. Custom Breast Prosthesis (Covered by some insurances, not Medicare) or 4. Do nothing.
Some women are not interested or are unable to have reconstruction and some women can't find an off-the-shelf prosthesis to fit them. So they are left with "do nothing" as off-the-shelf prosthesis are not covered. Join the Make Me Whole Again Campaign and help advocate for custom breast prosthesis coverage for Medicare patients; help make women feel whole again. www.makemewholeagain.com
