Bladder Cancer Quick Symptoms List

First, understand that early symptoms of bladder cancer are very similar those of a simple urinary tract infection. The most common type of bladder cancer, known as urothelial carcinoma is relatively rare in developed countries.

When cancer is present in the bladder, however, early symptoms first appear in your urine. These early signs include the following

* Hematuria, or blood in the urine.

* Having to urinate more often than usual

* Pain or burning during urination

* Trouble urinating or having a weak urine stream

* A feeling of urgency, as if you need to go right away, even when the bladder is not full

Bladder cancers that have grown to an advanced stage (see the drawing on the left) will sometimes metastacize, or spread to other parts of the body. When they do, these symptoms are likely.

* Inability to urinate

* Lower back pain on one side

* Loss of appetite and weight loss

* Frequent fatigue, or a feeling of weakness

* Swelling in the feet

* Bone pain

Remember, many of these symptoms are common to other conditions and disorders. Itโ€™s important to have them checked by a medical professional to get a proper diagnosis.
