00:30 Causes of laryngeal cancer
Tobacco addiction is the most important cause of Head & Neck Cancer. Not everyone who consumes tobacco suffers from cancer but the probability of them having Head & Neck Cancer surely spurges.
Chronic alcoholism also causes an increase in the probability of getting oral cancer. Also, there are some patients who don’t have an addiction history still get diagnosed with Head & Neck Cancer.

1:20 Symptoms of laryngeal cancer
• Hoarseness in voice - Laryngeal cancers that form on the vocal cords (glottis) often cause hoarseness or a change in the voice. This might lead to them being found at a very early stage. If you have voice changes that do not improve within 2 weeks see your health care provider right away.
• Difficulty while eating food.
• Sudden weight loss.

2:23 Treatment of laryngeal cancer
The standard treatment for Head & Neck cancer is surgery. In which, the cancer-affected part is taken out completely so that it does not spread any further. If the cancer is in its early stages micro laryngeal surgery is preferable. Treatment (Laryngectomy) of laryngeal cancer involves the process of wide resection in which the infected part of the patient’s jaw is surgically removed and then replaced with fibula bone. After the resection patient looks almost similar and can carry on his/her day-to-day activities quite naturally.
