पित्त की नली के कैंसर का निदान कैसे होता है? | How to Diagnose Bile Duct Cancer | Dr. Praveen Kammar
In this video, Dr. Praveen Kammar (Consultant Surgical Oncologist, SSO Hospital, Mumbai) will tell how bile duct cancer is detected and diagnosed.
There are 3 types of bile duct cancers:
1. Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma
2. Hilar cholangiocarcinoma
3. Distal cholangiocarcinoma
To detect bile duct cancer doctors, advise patients to undergo some tests such as sonography, blood tests, contrast-enhanced CT-Scan, MRI with MRCP, or PET scans as per the requirement.
PTBD (percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage) and PTC (percutaneous transhepatic cholangiography) are used to decrease jaundice in the patient’s body. These tests help doctors to identify the affected area, size of the disease, etc.
Doctors decide the way of treatment depending on the outcome of these tests.
