When you catch breast cancer early, you have a 95 percent survival rate. But many women under the age of 40 don’t have mammograms because of the cumulative effects of radiation. That’s where EVA comes in. They have developed a bra that can detect possible breast abnormalities in women of all ages—all without emitting radiation. The idea isn’t completely new—it’s been around since the 1970s, but advances in data collection and machine learning have made this bra a game changer.

Breast Cancer and BRAS - why having the right bra is so important as you recover from breast cancer
Breast Cancer and BRAS - why having the right bra is so important as you recover from breast cancer administrator 2 Views • 2 years ago

So, it is perhaps true to say that quite a few of us are not wearing the best-fitting bras. We just pick a few off the pegs, try them on, and leave the store with a smile knowing that we have got a few bras that fit and will provide the best support. The reality is unless you get a bra fitting and have an experienced bra fitter to measure you out, you are probably not wearing the best bra for your needs. The question is, how do you know if your bra fits?

In this video I've chosen the best bits from my podcast episode with Julie Blanche who is an expert bra fitter. And we go deep into the world of bras and talk about so many important topics. You don’t know what you don’t know, and so at the end of this episode, I guarantee that you would have learned something new about the garment we wear every day of our lives.

We cover a broad range of topics, but what you will learn from this episode includes:

What the measurements all mean?
The different types of bras.
Tips and tricks of achieving symmetry post breast surgery
What is the best way of putting on a bra?
What is the best way of washing your bra?
The signs that tell you that your bra doesn’t fit?

Getting a well-fitting bra at the best of times can be challenging. If you have had surgery, this can be even more difficult. We talk about how you can achieve symmetry in the bra following a mastectomy. Breast asymmetry can also happen when you have had breast conservation surgery or even a mastectomy with reconstruction. Julie gives some tips and tricks that can help mitigate the asymmetries that although may not be that pronounced, can still cause problems.

Hi, I'm Dr Tasha

I’m a Doctor, Breast Cancer Surgeon and Medical Educator. After 20 years helping people to understand and overcome breast health problems, I’ve seen first hand the fear, frustration and stress that my patients go through.

As a breast specialist with over a decade’s worth of experience, I understand finding the right information, processing a diagnosis, understanding treatment and getting accurate, practical advice as you ride the rollercoaster of emotions can be really tough.

But I’m here to help.

The internet can be a wonderful source of information but when it comes to breast health there’s a lot of inaccurate information out there. Listening to the wrong advice could cause you unnecessary worry or even put your health at risk.

So I wanted to create an accessible hub where you could find useful, accurate and reliable information from a trusted source – a Breast Health Doctor – all in one place.

That’s exactly what you’ll find here on my YouTube Channel.

😰TRUE? Keeping Phone in Bra causes CANCER! - By Kishor Singh #shorts

For the people who keep their mobile devices in their shirt pockets, let me tell you that the microwaves emanating from these devices may create breast cancer or heart complications. Double tap the screen and let's understand if really mobile devices could be a cause of such life-threatening diseases.
When you keep your mobile device in your shirt pocket or your bra in the case of ladies, you start getting some serious health issues.
Your mobile phone remains connected to the nearest tower through radio frequency waves. The frequency of the waves being emitted or received by a mobile phone ranges between 1.9 GHz to 2.2 GHz, whereas a microwave oven cooks food with waves of the frequency lying between 3 to 30 GHz.
Although the microwaves emanating from mobile devices do not harm you directly, according to some recent research, the females who keep their mobile phones in their bra for a long time, the microwaves being emitted by the mobile antenna start to gradually cook the fat, fluid, and tissues present the breast and generate multiple tumors. Talking about the males who carry their mobile devices in their shirt pockets, got diagnosed with several chronic heart diseases.
