A cancer patient from Coventry, who was told she had weeks to live, claims her life has been saved by cannabis oil.
Joy Smith is now calling on the Government to legalise it in the belief many other cancer patients could also benefit.
The Government insists there are no medicinal benefits to cannabis and one cancer charity told us tonight there isn't enough scientific evidence. Joy Smith says all she knows is her cancer is all but gone.
She told her story to Wesley Smith.

Dr. Suki Padda has been involved in thoracic oncology research since just after medical school (9+ years). She served as a clinical research associate for investigator initiated and industry sponsored clinical trials in thoracic oncology (Principal Investigator: Heather Wakelee). She continued to perform thoracic oncology research during her internal medicine residency and hematology/oncology fellowship training at Stanford University. After 1.5 years of instructorship, she has transitioned to faculty and has accumulated significant clinical experience and research experience in thoracic oncolog
