(SHORT VERSION 2) We are so glad to finally share a recent film we worked on for The Texas Children's Hospital Global HOPE, in Uganda, which we produced with BBC StoryWorks.
When Tasha was 9, she was diagnosed with leukemia – a death sentence for an estimated 90% of children like her across Africa. After 3 years of dedicated care from her grandfather and a specialist team, she has been given a shot at a cancer-free childhood.
Being a part of creating this film really pulled at our heartstrings, and it was incredible to learn about the solutions that are happening in third-world countries like Uganda. It makes us hopeful!

Romeos Foodlands are supporting international Childhood Cancer Awareness Month this September.
In South Australia alone, an average of 60 children are diagnosed with cancer each year. That’s more than one child every week!
This is devastating news for parents, for brothers and sisters, and for relations and friends.
While families can rely on outstanding medical treatment, the critical support services they need aren't provided by either state or federal government.
That’s where the Childhood Cancer Association steps in, providing practical, hands-on support to children with cancer, and their families.
Families should not feel alone at this time.
You might be surprised to learn, the Childhood Cancer Association currently supports more than 400 local families.
Customers are being asked when shopping at Romeos Foodland to dig deep to help fill the donation tins, to help raise $10,000.

Dr. Sandeep Jain
Childhood cancers are not common. It is not genetic and it can be treated only if we detect cancer early. The most common types of cancer diagnosed in children ages 0 to 14 years are leukemias, brain and another central nervous system (CNS) tumors, and lymphomas.
