In 2006, MD Anderson opened the world’s first multi-disciplinary clinic devoted to Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC), an uncommon, highly-aggressive type of breast cancer. The program was developed due to the unique needs of patients, and the urgent need for research to improve patient survival outcomes. To this day, the program remains the largest and most active center in the world for basic, translational and clinical research in IBC. This video showcases the program and its research and clinical priorities focused on generating breakthroughs to advance the science of IBC.
