Brooke Poskin was diagnosed with rectal cancer in September 2010. At age 39 she was not yet to the age when routine colonoscopies are recommended for people without a family history. When a 2 inch tumor was found during a colonoscopy she turned to colon and rectal surgeon David Schuval, M.D. of ColoRectal Specialists, a division of Signature Medical Group in St. Louis, Missouri.
