When Holly Christensen’s best friend’s daughter was diagnosed with cancer, she knitted a Rapunzel wig to cover up the hair loss. From this moment, the Magic Yarn Project was born. Now, at community workshops, volunteers of all kinds -- including incarcerated prisoners -- make colorful yarn wigs for kids with cancer, giving them a chance to be children again in their time of need.
