WHAT CAUSES OVARIAN CANCER
At just 30 years old, I was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. Wtf?
But let me back up…before I was diagnosed, I was just your average 30 year old. I had just purchased our first home, we had just got married, I liked working out at the gym and hanging out with friends.
Overnight, my life changed. A tumor on my ovary the size of a football. 21 x 10 cm.
After an extensive surgery and intense chemo, I started the long recovery process. I desperately wanted to get back to living.
When I complained about hot flashes, exhaustion, or weight gain to my oncologist, he just shrugged his shoulders and said ‘there wasn’t much that could be done.’ I was now living the cost of being cancer free.
You see, I had come all this way! Through surgery and chemo but I still felt terrible. I thought the hard part was behind me but I was wrong.
