This is a short treatment outcome awareness video of a limb salvage surgery for bone cancer(sarcoma).
Ewing's sarcoma is predominantly seen in pediatric age group, but a lesser incidence in adult age group. These belong to PNET/EFT entity and are known to be aggressive and fatal if untreated.
This case scenario is of an adult who was suffering from sarcoma involvement of nearly 2/3rds of his arm bone(humerus). He responded well to chemotherapy and subsequently underwent limb salvage surgery with an economical and innovative reconstruction-Nail cement spacer. Due to the large volume of tumour, post operative radiotherapy is also provided with chemotherapy.
