In this video, Dr Sridhar PS, consultant radiation oncologist at HCG Cancer Care Center, Bengaluru, will talk about his patient, Dakshina Ranjan, a 65-year-old male. The patient was from Assam, had difficulty swallowing, and was diagnosed with tongue cancer.
In May 2022, Dakshina Ranjan consulted a local ENT physician in Assam. After an MRI and CT scan, it was suspected to be throat cancer. In June 2022, he was diagnosed with cancer and came to Bangalore for consultation with Dr Sridhar at HCG Hospital. He got the treatment under the supervision of Dr. Sridhar. He received six cycles of chemotherapy and 33 fractions of radiation therapy. Now he is free of cancer and feels a lot better than before. He learned about the harmful effects of tobacco and asked everyone to quit it.
